POLICE hunting missing Purton woman Amanda Edwards have focused their investigation on Malmesbury today (Thursday).
Officers told a press conference on Thursday that they are keen to here from anyone who saw anything suspicious at the Knoll House Hotel over the Bank Holiday weekend to come forward.
They are also keen to speak to anyone who saw a white Transit van, with lettering on its side, which may have been parked at the former hotel over the weekend.
Amanda, 21, was last seen a week ago, when she dropped off her boyfriend in Calne.
Her Rover Metro car was discovered in the West Swindon shopping centre car park last Thursday.
A man was arrested on Monday night on suspicion of kidnapping Amanda, with police being given a 36-hour extension on Tuesday night to further question him
Police hunting Amanda were back at the Swindon car park today handing out leaflets about her, as a sniffer dog hunted the area for clues.
At around the same time, a police helicopter thought to be equipped with thermal imaging equipment circled the former Knoll House Hotel in Malmesbury , as six vans of police officers including the forensic support unit and a second sniffer dog returned arrived and started scouring the interior of the building.
The hotel became the focus of media attention on Tuesday when an unmarked people carrier containing a person wrapped in a white sheet briefly drove onto the hotel grounds, and then sped off towards Swindon.
Police have been granted until midnight tonight (Thursday) to question their suspect, following a 15-hour extension granted at 9am.
