HATHEROP Castle School is a co-educational IAPS preparatory day and boarding school for children between the ages of two-and-a-half and13, preparing them for common entrance and scholarship examinations for senior school entry. Boarders are admitted from the age of seven into a family-run boarding house with caring and experienced staff. The school is set in 20 acres of Cotswold countryside overlooking the Coln valley. It is on the Wiltshire/Gloucestershire border and there is a daily bus to and from the school.

Hatherop Castle has many excellent facilities. The pre-prep department for children aged four to seven years has been completely refurbished. There is a fully networked internet linked computer suite, fiction and non-fiction libraries, two science laboratories, music room and technology room. Pupils have the opportunity to learn a variety of musical instruments.

Sport also plays a big role with weekly fixtures for boys and girls throughout the year. Also the school competes in many tournaments at local, regional and national level. Speech and drama opportunities are also available. French is taught from nursery to the top of the school and Latin from the age of eight.

Excellent recent academic results include all 13+ common entrance candidates gaining entry to their first choice of school, many with scholarships.
