THE Cotswold School in Bourton-on-the-Water is now 17 years old and 2003/04 proved to be an eventful year.
lSchool received from the DfES the accolade of Leading Edge Status to recognise outstanding academic achievement.
lPE department received the Sport England Sportsmark Award. lA magnificent new 14-classroom block was opened by Trevor Woodman, England rugby player.
lThe school entered its second year as a language college offering French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Russian.
The school, ideally sized at 900 pupils, is recognised by parents and the community as providing a high quality education for all its pupils.
It featured for the fourth year running in all the national league tables for top A-level and GCSE schools this summer.
The aim is to continue to develop a happy and outward looking school, within which, all pupils strive to realise their full potential academically, personally and socially, and develop the skills needed to become confident, articulate and contributing members of society.
Parents are warmly invited to open day on Wednesday, October 6, from 9.15am to 1pm and 6pm to 8.30pm.
