A NEW dentist is set to open at Malmesbury primary care centre in the New Year.
Serving 3,000 new patients the move follows a £3.1 million investment programme announced earlier this year to bring in new dentistry contracts in five Wiltshire towns.
The aim of the scheme is to increase the number of people treated under NHS high street dental contracts in the county.
Building work has started and the new surgery run by Independent Dental Holdings is expected to open in mid-January.
Other new dental practices are in Amesbury, Tidworth, Warminster and Westbury, while existing dentists in Calne, Chippenham, Devizes, Marlborough, Melksham, Pewsey, Trowbridge and Wootton Bassett are to extend their NHS provision.
