WASTE chiefs have assured residents of Wiltshire that no changes will be made to their rubbish collection service without consultation.
Plans to reorganise the county’s waste collections are being put together in order to bring all the districts in line with each other.
Currently the four districts of the county are still operating the waste collections under the old district council schemes since Wiltshire Council became a unitary authority on April 1.
A WC spokesman said the aim is to minimise the amount of waste being sent to landfill but that no decision would be made without taking the residents’ views in accounty.
An initial report into the proposals is still being prepared and will be presented to WC’s Cabinet on November 24.
