THE star of Top Gear Jeremy Clarkson and mystery driver ‘The Stig’ teamed up with former Formula 1 racer David Coulthard during a recent filming session at Cotswold Airport, near Kemble.
But officials have been sworn to secrecy regarding the exact nature of the material, which is due to be screened on the popular BBC Top Gear show later this year.
Presenter Clarkson and The Stig, who kept a low profile throughout, spent a day at the airport last week to film the scenes.
Airport director Suzannah Harvey said: "We were delighted to be involved through making our facilities available for Top Gear and it was really nice to speak with Jeremy and David, who were both very nice.
"However, much as I would love to tell you what was happening, I am afraid that it is being kept a secret ahead of the show.
"Some of us even got to meet the Stig, which was a bit of an experience to say the least."
Cotswold Airport is a popular television and film location, with Casualty and Fifth Gear among the other shows which film on-site.
