ESMOND Jenkins is the new district councillor for the Cotswold Water Park after winning the election.
The Liberal Democrat candidate won the seat against his Conservative opponent Brian Viner by 894 votes to 353, which the party claims is a 34 percent swing in their favour.
Mr Jenkins has for over a year been campaigning against the lease of Cotswold Country Park to a developer on a 114-year lease.
