ELIZABETH Hurley has been confirmed as the celebrity guest for the ten-year celebration of Cirencester Farmers’ Market this weekend.
She will present a £150 hamper to the winner of the market quiz at 12.30pm. The actress, who is set to launch her own range of organic snack bars in the autumn, will have a stall at the market selling produce from her own farm.
Market manager Simon Smith said: “Elizabeth Hurley has had a stall at the market since February, selling a range of pork, lamb and beef produced on her farm near Cirencester.
“We are pleased with the interest she takes in Cirencester and the market, and very excited that she will be handing out our big quiz prize.”
Other attractions include chef Rob Rees, who will be doing a joint cookery demonstration with Jackie Llewelyn-Bowen at 11.30am. Pam Ayres, long-term supporter of the market, will be on site to judge the best presented stall.
The market will open in the Market Place at 8.30am on Saturday, September 12. There will be more than 30 stalls selling a wide range of local food and drink.
