Jewellery thieves steal over £500,000 from Cotswold Show trader


PROFESSIONAL thieves stole more than £500,000 of jewellery from a car parked in the Tesco¹s car park on Cricklade Road, Cirencester.

The victim, who had attended The Cotswold Show as a jewellery trader, was followed into the car park between 6.20pm and 6.40pm where he went to buy a sandwich.

The rear window of his red Ford Maverick was smashed when he was in the store and the thieves stole two bags containing various gold, platinum and diamond items of jewellery.

Officers investigating the theft are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or who saw anyone acting suspiciously at the time to contact them immediately.
