ROCK star Pete Doherty was arrested in Gloucester in the early hours of this morning after playing a gig at the city's Guildhall.
The ex-Libertine and Babyshambles band member remains in police custody following an incident where he was stopped in the city half an hour after his performance.
He played a selection of songs from the Libertines, Babyshambles and his solo album to a packed hall of more than 300 people last night.
Gloucestershire police confirmed a 30-year-old man from Marlborough was in custody at Gloucester station.
A spokesman said: "At approximately 12.30am officers on patrol in Eastgate Street saw a car being driven erratically, it continued down Barton Street and was stopped in Derby Road.
“A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, possession of drugs and failure to stop for police, he remains in custody at this time.”
