A HUGE baby pigeon who left avian experts in a flap because of its gargantuan size has been reunited with its owner.
Staff at Oak and Furrows rescue centre, in Somerford Keynes, who named the fledgling Big Boy, were contacted by the birds breeder after he saw the story in the Standard last week.
And ironically, Big Boy is a rare breed of pigeon known as a runt, which dates back to Roman times.
Serena Stevens, manager of the rescue centre, said: "It’s nice to have a happy ending. The breeder brought in Big Boy's father and he was even bigger!"
