MORE than £2,500 was raised for the Great Western Air Ambulance in less than 45 minutes when the Beaufort Hunt held its annual charity meet on Saturday.
The cash gathered from hunt followers and supporters at Hundred Acre Farm, Sopworth, was handed over to the charity’s executive Paul Weir.
The Filton-based helicopter, expected to cost £1.3 million a year to run, was brought into service in June last year and dealt with 300 serious trauma incidents within the first six months.
