A CIRENCESTER woman who made a false allegation of rape will have her case sent to crown court, magistrates heard on Friday.
Tracey Knowles, 20, of Beverstone Road, South Cerney, was charged with intending to pervert the course of justice by making a false allegation of rape between June 15 and 18.
Crown prosecutor Louise Pinder said the case was of a serious nature and requested it be sent straight to Gloucester Crown Court.
Knowles will appear at a committal hearing at Cheltenham Magistrates on September 17.
