Golden accolade for Cotswolds business

A GENEROUS Cirencester business has received golden recognition from the Home Secretary for the third year running for its charity contributions.

N4 Solutions, based in Poulton, and one of the UK has received a Gold Award for developing a culture of philanthropy and committed giving in the workplace.

The company is one of the UK’s leading providers of software for the financial services industry.

The Gold Award is awarded to employers that have succeeded in generating sustainable income sources for UK charities through Payroll Giving.

In addition to Payroll Giving and supporting staff’s fundraising initiatives, N4 has developed close ties with the local community, including a link with the National Star College Cheltenham.

As well as payroll contributions from N4’s staff, Steve Jones leads a corporate group which is helping to raise £15million for the college through a three-year funding programme.

On an international level N4 has recently opened a community drinking well in the village of Cubu in Uganda, which will provide 2,700 people with access to clean drinking water. The company also continues to support bikes4africa by assisting in efforts such as the purchase of bikes, funding a bike station in the Gambia as well as training instructors to teach children how to ride.

Steve Jones, chief executive of N4, said: "A sense of community is central to the ethos of N4. We believe that charitable giving and activities can be combined with business success and add a greater sense of purpose to an organisation."
