THE first phase of a luxury lakeside residential development just outside of Fairford will be unveiled this spring.

More than 60 fully-furnished part-time holiday let apartments at the brand-new Cotswolds Water development will finished in a few months.

The new development adds to John Hitchcox's, founder of The Lakes by Yoo, expanding portfolio.

Each two/three-bedroom apartment has been designed by Hawkes Architecture with energy efficiency in mind.

The area has been awarded SSSI accreditation, making it an area of Special Scientific Interest, so only low-impact activities such as swimming, sailing or paddle-boarding are permitted on the lakes.

Inside each apartment will be an open-plan kitchen and living quarters, en-suite bedrooms and an additional utility room.

The ground-floor apartments will encompass wrap-around terraces with direct access to the lake.

Meanwhile, second and third-floor apartments will have balconies which will offer a panoramic view of the lakes.

In the following phase of the development, work will begin on 77 spacious plots for bespoke private homes.

Cotswolds Waters' homeowners will also have the opportunity to join The Lakes by Yoo's exclusive membership programme which will give them access to all of the neighbouring luxury estate's amenities such as the spa, steam room and fitness studio.
