PUPILS at a school near Cirencester have been learning all about the culture of Japan as part of activities to celebrate International Education Week.

The initiative, held from 13 to 17 November and established by the British Council, is held annually to help engage and motivate students to help them discover other languages, counties and cultures.

Stratton Primary pupils enjoyed a whole range of activities offered by local businesses from sushi making, run by the Kitchen Club, to a martial arts demonstration from Cirencester Skillz plus Taiko drumming by CCS Taiko in Gloucester.

Joe from CCS Taiko said: "We had a wonderful time teaching at the school today, it was such a nice teaching environment and experience

"We look forward to seeing some of the pupils at our future classes’’
