A HALL in Cirencester was filled with music, dance and smiles during a visit from a beloved TV fitness instructor over the weekend.

Derrick Errol Evans MBE, better known as Mr Motivator, led a group of enthusiastic individuals in a free fitness class at Bingham Hall in Cirencester as part of the Cotswold District Council's Live Active Cotswold event on Sunday, October 1.

He first rose to fame in 1993 through appearances on the UK breakfast television show GMTV where he performed live fitness sessions and offered tips and advice to viewers.

Mr Motivator is best known for his colourful spandex and bubbly personality, which shone through his performances on British television.

On Sunday Mr Motivator donned some colourful leg warmers, a red T-Shirt with the words 'I feel so good' splashed over it as well as a matching shorts and head band set.

Fluorescent lightning beamed onto the stage and shone onto Mr Motivator and his energetic back up fitness instructors throughout the class.

Many participants left the session smiling and full of energy.
