A WOMAN was taken to hospital with serious leg and possible head injuries after apparently jumping from the M4 motorway bridge at Wroughton today.

Police have appealed for witnesses who may have seen the woman, thought to be aged about 60, before the incident at 8.45am. She landed on the hard shoulder and was taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.

Anyone who saw her in the area of the bridge is asked to call 0845 4087000.
