Daredevil grandad Adrian Watson took to the skies alongside his daughter-in-law to raise money for a baby remembrance garden at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
The 70-year-old signed up with Claire Watson for the wing walk to raise money for the Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospital Charity which is supporting the garden project.
They were joined by fellow wing walkers Abbie Jackson, Dani Perry and Jessica Finch. The wing walk was organised by members of the bereaved parent group Forget-Me-Not. They have so far raised almost £7,000 from the wing walk which took place on Friday July 28th at Rendcomb Airfield, near Cirencester.
Claire and her husband James lost their son Jacobi in 2018.
Claire said: “The wing walk was an awesome experience, one that beats any fairground ride - both exhilarating and nerve-wracking for all five of us.
“On a personal note it felt very special taking to the sky in Jacobi’s memory, wearing the Jacobi jumper and with Jacobi’s 70-year-old grandad on the team.
“We are so close to hitting our target for the baby loss garden - every donation makes such a huge difference, thank you.”
