AN AUDI driver from Lechlade has been banned from the road after admitting drink driving and dangerous driving. 

Richard Lloyd, aged 35, of Mount Pleasant, Lechlade pleaded guilty to the two offences at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Monday, July 31.

Lloyd was caught in a Audi A4 on the A436 in Ullenwood, near Cheltenham, having consumed 120 milligrams  of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood on Saturday, January 21.

The legal limit is 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.

For this offence a community order was also imposed stating that Lloyd must carry out 240 hours of unpaid work within the next year. 

He was also disqualified from driving for 15 months.

Lloyd must pay a victim surcharge of £114 plus £85 costs - a total of £199.

The driving ban could be reduced by 15 weeks if he completes a drink driving course by May 17 next year.

He also pleaded guilty to dangerous driving on the same day.

For this offence another community order was also imposed stating that Lloyd must carry out 240 hours of unpaid work within the next year. 

Lloyd was also given another driving ban for this second offence which lasts two years.
