HAMISH MASON won the Cirencester Golf Club Championship for the second time after gaining a six-shot victory on Sunday, June 8 over youngsters Matthew Page and Fergus Marchington.
Mason shot excellent scores of 74 and 70 in very hot conditions, which proved difficult for most players.
Marchington had led after the first round with a 71, but could not match that impressive score second time around.
He did, however, win the Victory Cup, which is awarded for the best nett score. His total of 136 beat Page by two strokes and Brian Hobbs by four.
