Witness appeal after double fatal car smash

POLICE in the Cotswolds are renewing their appeal for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision.

The incident, which involved two vehicles, took place at approximately 7.20am on Monday, May 12 on Hidcote Road, between Ebrington and Hidcote Boyce, at the crossroads with Furze Lane.

The vehicles involved were a silver Citreon Berlingo Estate registered to an address in Mickleton and a purple Rover registered to an address in Evesham.

The driver of the Berlingo, a 39 year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Rover, also a woman, received minor injuries and was treated on the scene.
