A stalker who bombarded a Cricklade woman with texts and letters has appeared in court.
Ross Faulkner sent 57 text messages and two letters to her home address between August 3 and August 7. He also turned up at her home uninvited during this period.
The charge sheet stated that the 56-year-old's conduct amounted to stalking and caused the victim serious alarm or distress, which had a substantial adverse effect on her usual day-to-day activities.
At Swindon Magistrates' Court on August 9, Faulkner pleaded guilt to the charge of stalking involving serious alarm/distress.
Faulkner, of Church End, Purton, was fined £933 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £373 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service - leaving him with a total bill of £1,391.
