THE Tory-supporting Lady Bathurst has blasted Boris Johnson and other lockdown breakers on social media.
On Tuesday the Prime Minister and Chancellor both paid fines and apologised for attending the PM's birthday bash in Downing Street during Covid restrictions.
Mr Johnson said it 'did not occur' to him that the gathering in the Cabinet Room on June 19 2020 to mark his 56th birthday was a violation of coronavirus rules, but that he “now humbly accepts” he did breach Covid-19 laws.
In a social media post last night Lady Bathurst, the former High Sheriff of Gloucestershire, said that she was 'flabbergasted at the behaviour' in Number 10 Downing Street, before going on to say that there 'is much damage to repair'.
I’ve voted Conservative all my life. As have my family. And even I, the biggest defender of my party, am just flabbergasted at the behaviour @10DowningStreet - what on earth were they thinking? The infallibility is breathtaking. There’s much damage to repair. Frustrating at best.

I agree with that. But I can’t help but think that their behaviour should have been above reproach during the lockdowns, especially with so many suffering. Above and beyond reproach.

Boris Johnson is reportedly braced to receive further fines for breaches of coronavirus laws after a justice minister resigned over the “repeated rule-breaking” in Downing Street.
