Jeremy Clarkson's controversial Diddly Squat farm shop in the Cotswolds will close for two months.

The presenter announced it will shut on New Year's Day for January and February.

In an announcement, he said: "Diddly Squat Farm Shop open 9.30-4pm until 31st December. Closed January & February".

He did not give a reason, but fans speculated it was for the filming of a new series of Clarkson's Farm, the TV show set at the farm in Chadlington, Oxfordshire.

The popularity of the Amazon Prime show has led to huge queues, with neighbours complaining about the volume of traffic.

The former Top Gear wants to build a new car park and café on the site, but some locals have objected.
