The Beeches 3, South Cerney 2 SOUTH CERNEY'S unbeaten record came to an end as top-of-the-table Beeches were able to avenge last week's defeat.

This was a more open encounter with Beeches keen to get their season back on track. However, it was Cerney who drew first blood when Loxton fired in from 18 yards.

Within five minutes Beeches were level when Dan Lye curled a 25-yard free kick into the bottom corner.

The home team continued to dominate and took the lead after a flowing move, again started by Lye, whose through ball found Wiltshire and his inch-perfect cross was slotted home by Stuart Robinson.

Two quickly became three with Lye again the architect, playing an exquisite ball for Graham Robinson to round the keeper and fire home.

MoM: Dan Lye.

Down Ampney 1, Poulton 1 BOTTOM-CLUB Ampney scored in the first minute and went on to earn a good point in this well-contested derby.

Ashley Whitbread got their goal and although Poulton had the better of the half they were once again lacking in front of goal.

Matty King equalised five minutes after the break but no further goals arrived during a ding-dong second half.

Down Ampney would have stolen the show but for two excellent saves by keeper Matt Genever at the end.

Golden Farm 0, Oaksey 3 WITHOUT a league victory since September (but with four Cup wins in the meantime), Oaksey got the positive performance they wanted.

A change of tactics paid off as Oaksey always looked in command against one of the lesser Cirencester League teams.

The confidence of having a regular keeper in Gary Waldron between the sticks spread to the whole team and it was surprising that it took 20 minutes for Oaksey to score.

When it came, it involved delightful interplay between strikers Simon Rose and Adam Goodfield, with the latter scoring.

Fifteen minutes later a cross from the overlapping Chris Brookes saw Dan Jones (putting in his best performance of the season) head from close in to make it 2-0.

Substitute Matt Butcher added a third goal.

South Cerney Res. 1, Chalford III 2 The away side grabbed all three points in another tight encounter.

John Peacock gave Chalford the lead early on but this was wiped out in the closing seconds of the first half. Victory was claimed with Matt Smith's goal 15 minutes from the end.
