FIRSTLY, let's be realistic, Chippenham and ourselves have different agendas.

They think they are one of the top three in the league and they are probably right.

They are certainly one of the best teams we have played this season.

Kes Metitri is the best centre back in the league, while Aaron Cornwall is the best player I have seen all year.

Their two strikers and two wide men all have exceptional pace which makes them difficult to play against.

In the circumstances, I thought we coped with them pretty well and to limit them to two goals at their own place when they are on top of their game was an achievement.

They were clearly smarting from losing to top-of-the-table Hemel at the weekend, when according to our reports they should have murdered them.

We had our chances, too. Chappy should have done better with a couple of setpieces, Matt Shaxton had a chance in the first half and Snaky was through in the second half.

We played well in patches, we made them work, but we were simply beaten by a better team and the second goal coming so early in the second half killed us off and allowed them to just control things.

I was very disappointed with the goals, however, particularly the one where we should have had a blatant free kick and five passes later it is a goal. But then I thought the referee was poor all night.

Chris Davis came off early because I didn't think he was moving freely and the ball was just coming straight back from their very solid back four.

Robbo also seems to struggle when games come quickly together, but I thought Snaky did very well when he came on.

Jacob Giles played in goal as a one-off for the suspended Matt Bulman and he did extremely well. He obviously had a lot to do and made some good saves.

He's played at Newport as their number two and has been with Bradford Park Avenue.

We got a tip-off that he was available and he showed great commitment to drive down from Huddersfield on the day of the game.

We've now got another tough game against King's Lynn on Saturday and they are coming off a shock home defeat to Corby, so will be looking to bounce back.

When they beat Chippenham 2-0, Kev Halliday told me it could have been a lot more, though there is a feeling they don't travel so well.

At least, that is what we are hoping because they are a team who could be top three.

We will certainly need a Brackley-type performance to get something out of the game and we are without both Moly and Snaky due to their bans.

Also, Alex Stanley injured an ankle at Chippenham and is not certain for Saturday.
