Bristol Manor 1-4 Cirencester
CIRENCESTER opened the 2018/19 season with a 4-1 win at Bristol Manor Farm.
The hosts started quickly with some early shots at Matt Wieczorek, but Cirencester had Aidan Bennett, Ben Whitehead and Alan Griffin all testing the home defence.
Cirencester opened the scoring after a fine move down the right flank involving Griffin, Tommy Anderson and Whitehead led to Anderson heading home for 0-1.
Five minutes later Cirencester doubled their lead when a mix-up between goalkeeper and defender resulted in Ben Whitehead firing into an empty net.
Before half-time, Owen Howe pulled a goal back for Manor Farm, scoring a deflected effort that looped in under the bar.
After the interval Cirencester had an Alan Griffin goal chalked off for offside, but he wasn't to be denied for long.
Griffin restored Ciren's two-goal lead after volleying home from the edge of the box.
And in the final few minutes of the game, Jordan Morris cut inside from the right to score his first and Town's fourth of the game to secure all three points.
