Thieves raid jewellery store

THIEVES raided a jewellery shop in Bourton-on-the-Water in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

JewelleryJewelleryJewellery.com in Victoria Street was burgled just after midnight when offenders removed the metal window covers and broke the windows before stealing a quantity of jewellery on display.

The shop sells designer hand-made diamond engagement and wedding rings made in its award-winning workshop.

The thieves used a stolen grey Vauxhall Astra saloon to make their escape which had been taken from an address in Evenlode Road, Moreton-in-Marsh between Monday and the time of the burglary.

The vehicle was later found by police in Bourton-on-the-Hill.
