CHEDWORTH is preparing for the annual show 12-5pm on the Bank Holiday Saturday, August 27.

This year music will be provided by the JB Jazz and Blues Band  The band was formed a few years ago, bringing together five talented musicians from different backgrounds with a common approach to their music - to have fun.

Through appearances in festivals and residencies at several Gloucestershire venues, the band have developed a considerable following.

They have made a guest appearance on the hit Channel 4 comedy series “Spaced”, and have also received the prestigious Staffordshire Jazz Society "Band Of The Year award" twice in the last three years.

THAMES Water’s water supply failed again last week when a pipe burst in middle Chedworth. Thames compounded the misery by digging a small hole in the gutter of the main village road, piling the soil in the carriage way and then closing the road forcing a mile and a half detour for many residents.

Residents are still waiting for answers about the previous supply failure which left residents without drinking water and unable to flush loos for 30 hours - a situation many feel is totally unacceptable.

ST ANDREW'S Church have a Dragons &Unicorns Summer Club For  4-11 yr olds (Under 4's welcome with an adult) with games, crafts, Bible stories and songs at Chedworth Village Hall next Wednesday, August 22 from, 9.30am-12.00 noon.

This will be followed by a family picnic and bouncy slide. Free of charge.
