TETBURY Town Council has confirmed the resignation of one of its councillors.
Tina Stevenson, who was councillor for Tetbury West Ward, is thought to have resigned on Monday.
No further details around her resignation have been given, with Tetbury Town Council not wishing to make any comments.
Tina does however remain a councillor on Cotswold District Council.
Due to Tina's resignation, there is now a vacancy on Tetbury Town Council.
The vacancy will be filled by election if a request from 10 nearby government electors for the ward is received by September 3.
Requests should include each elector’s name, address and signature and should be sent to the returning Officer at the address below.
If 10 signatures are not received by the date given, the town council may fill the vacancy by co-option.
If an election is called, it will take place no later than November 5.
