ANTHONY Clarke of K9 Dogs Centre, Lechlade, decided that he would run a family fun day and open day in order to raise money for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. The centre staged a brilliant fun day which included a the VWH foxhound puppies, Britain’s Got Talent winner Ashleigh Butler with her new performing dog Sullivan – a real star as well as flyball and agility demonstrations and a fun dog show competition.

It was a great afternoon which showcased the facilities at the centre and all the dogs behaved impeccably! Anthony said, “I am really pleased with how the event went - we had such fantastic support from local businesses and services for our prize draw - It was great to raise just over £1000 for such a worthy cause - and we hope to do something similar each year.”

THE Lechlade Medical Centre Patient Participation Group (PPG) is to give patients a voice in the organisation of their care. From June 5-8 there was a ‘thought tree’ in the Medical Centre, with post-its where patients wrote comments or suggestions. The overwhelming majority of responses were positive. Patients expressed appreciation of the friendliness and efficiency of the staff, the ease and speed of getting appointments and the quick response by the doctors to phone calls made to the surgery.

You can contact the PPG any time either by e-mail at lechladeppg@gmail.com or by using the forms available just inside the main entrance to the Medical Centre.
