However, many areas will see some drier and brighter interludes with sunny spells. It will feel warm in the sunshine, with lighter winds. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Tonight:

Daytime showers easing during the evening, with some clear spells. However, cloud and showery rain, heavy at times, will move northeastwards during the early hours, clearing by dawn. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Tuesday:

Early showers will soon clear to leave a mostly dry day, with sunny spells. Feeling warm in the sunshine with light winds. Perhaps the odd shower inland during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 24 °C.

Outlook for the UK Friday 3 Aug 2018 to Sunday 12 Aug 2018:

Beginning dry and fine, however some showers are possible particularly in central and northern areas on Friday and perhaps Saturday.

There will also be some sunshine, with the most prolonged sunny skies across far southern areas.

As we head further into August many areas are expected to be fine and dry with plenty of sunshine, but there will be a chance of one or two showers here and there.

Likely to become very warm with a small chance of hot conditions developing again, especially across the south.

Outlook for the UK Monday 13 Aug 2018 to Monday 27 Aug 2018:

Likely that warmer and drier than average conditions are most probable overall.

However, unsettled interludes are also possible, these are most likely in the south with a risk of heavy showers or thunderstorms breaking out at times.

Temperatures are expected to remain widely above average for most, with further spells of very warm or perhaps even hot conditions probable, especially in the south.
