MOTORISTS have been warned to drive carefully today by police.

The heavy rain has already caused numerous flooding this morning, as well as fallen branches on busy roads.

The met office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind and rain today.

With a number of incident already reported, police want to remind motorists how to report flooding or fallen trees.

If the flooding or fallen tree isn't a direct emergency, is on easily visible and not on a key road to ring 101.

If the incident is on a key road, isn’t easily visible or on a corner and poses an immediate risk to call 999.

Police are working with Highways today to remove branches/trees from roads and place signs.

The Force Control room twitter account will have updates throughout the day of all incidents.
