A 70 year old man has suffered serious head injuries following a crash in Stroud.
The accident happened just after 3pm near Bowbridge Arms pub, on the A419 London Road and invoved a blue VW Polo car and a black Yamaha motorbike.
The motorcyclist, 70 from the Thrupp area, was air-lifted to Southmead Hospital.
The driver of the car was a 31-year-old woman from the Stroud area.
Roads around the collision were closed for six hours and re-opened around 9.30pm.
Officers want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage which would help their investigation.
Anyone with information who has not already spoken to police should call 101 quoting incident 278 of July 22.
