AN INSPIRATIONAL officer has completed a wingwalk for Motor Neurone Disease Association on Wednesday, July 18.

Andrea Shutt, who was recently diagnosed with the disease, and inspector Karen Ellis were joined by around 150 family members, friends and colleagues at Aerosuperbatics on Rencomb Airfield. Andrea's parents were driven up from Plymouth especially to see their daughter take to the sky.

Andrea was first to take off and completed several laps of the airfield in what was her second wing walk. Karen was close behind her and was given a true roller coaster ride back and forth across the airfield.

All of those watching were full of respect for the two ladies, but especially Andrea as colleagues have said they were 'awestruck' with the courage which she has approached her illness.

Both Andrea and Karen have thanked anyone who has donated money and are both hopeful that they will break through the £10,000 pound barrier.

All the money raised will go to the Motor Neurone Disease Association. The just giving page is still live, to make a donation visit justgiving.com/fundraising/andreashutt
