PLANS are in motion for a number of events to commemorate the end of the 1st World War in Cirencester.
Culminating in the town from November 9, to November 11, there will be a weekend of celebration and remembrance titled We Will Remember.
A leaflet will be circulated shortly, providing information on how to get involved with a number of events, including how to become a member of the Human Poppy.
The programme of events begins the week before with a concert title The Eleventh Hour at 7.30pm on Friday, November 2, in the parish church.
Across the weekend there will be a number of activities and events to commemorate the occasion.
It also details how companies and individuals can participate by sponsoring one of five individually designed official Royal British Legion 5 foot WW1 silhouettes and more.
This November, it will be the one-hundredth anniversary of the end of the First World War, in which over one million men were killed or wounded.
More Information on the events, how to get involved and how to sponsor is detailed on the leaflet.
