TETBURY hospital have thanked residents for their generosity.

Over the past six years, the annual House to House appeal in support of the hospital has raised more than £50,000 and this year’s donations are still pouring in, thanks to the support of the public.

Additional funding raised by the appeal, has enabled the hospital to invest in new equipment and upgrade the facilities to benefit the community.

This year’s collection was aimed at helping to fund the purchase of an ultrasound machine and a replacement defibrillator.

All purchases of equipment are carefully assessed prior to the funds being spent, to make sure the trust is using its resources in the best possible way.

In 2016, the House to House appeal aimed to fund the purchase of a Fluid Management System to support the gynaecology service.

But after it was trialled, and a careful clinical review, it was decided that the system was not required for Tetbury Hospital.

They now plan to use these funds to help their planned Procedure Room, which will benefit many patients by offering increased privacy and a purpose-built environment for minor procedures.
