TETBURY has launched a new identity to help increase visitor numbers.

Social media experts joined together with businesses in Tetbury for the event intended to promote the town as a tourist destination and increase visitor numbers. The town’s new identity was revealed to over eighty guests at the event in the Goods Shed in the town.

Alison Mckay presented a brand story for the town, including a collection of beautiful images, a logo and some ideas on how to promote the stunning Cotswold town.

In a recent review, a message stated that in order for towns to change their fortunes, it must be from within.

Tetbury is a perfect example of what a town can achieve with determination.

High profile representatives that attended the event in Tetbury include likes of Westonbirt House, Tetbury Music Festival and Whatley Manor.

The Mayor of Tetbury, Sandra Ball said: “This is a fresh way to talk about Tetbury using a collection of images, words and story ideas.

"If we all tell the same story, it will add up to a much more powerful image for Tetbury.

“We are delighted to bring together every business in the town and get them working together to promote Tetbury.

"One of our retailers, Henrietta’s House, has already seen a 967% increase in followers as part of this campaign.”

Visit Tetbury is the organisation responsible for promoting Tetbury.
