GREAT Western Railways is warning passengers of disruption to Sunday services and has lifted its ticket restrictions, allowing people to avoid the disruption.

Due to several factors including the World Cup final and the start of summer holidays, the number of available staff has reduced.

The station is advising customers planning to travel long distances that a revised timetable with significantly less trains will be in place this Sunday, July 15.

The most affected trains will be those running long distance, including services between Paddington to Bristol, South Wales, Oxford and Devon.

Trains that are running will be extremely busy.

Services in Thames Valley are expected to run as normal.

Passengers are advised to travel as early as possible, or defer their travel to alternate days.

Ticket restrictions have also been removed for Saturday 14 and Monday 16 July.

GWR managing director Mark Hopwood says: "I would encourage customers to travel on a different day if they are able to and we will happily offer refunds to those who choose not to travel.

"We are very sorry for the inconvenience this disruption will cause."
