NORTHLEACH with Eastington Town Council is sponsoring a flower competition. Any floral display outside the house or shop can be entered (hanging baskets, window boxes, barrels, planters but nothing artificial). Judging will take place on August 4 and the winners’ names will be announced in September. The competition is open to anyone of any age living or working in the parish of Northleach with Eastington, both residents and businesses.

The floral display(s) entered must be located in the parish. To enter please complete an entry form (available online at

northleach.gov.uk, in local shops and at the Westwoods Centre) with your name, address where the flowers will be displayed, and contact information.  

THE Historical Society meet on Wednesday, July 4 at 7.30pm for a talk entitled ”Gloucestershire House Histories”. Rose Hewlett has been researching the history of houses and families in Gloucestershire for over 40 years. Former secretary to the Clifford estate at Frampton on Severn, she has delved into the past of manors and cottages alike, and will share with us her discoveries and the secrets of interpreting property documents. Members free, visitors welcome for £3.

NORTHLEACH School Association are hosting a Summer disco on Friday, July 6 from 6-9.30pm. Make memories dancing with the kids at the summer disco. Barbeque and bar too! Tickets £5 adults, children free. Tickets available in the playground or  online at ticketsource.co.uk/northleach-school-association.  Proceeds in aid of Northleach School Association.

NORTHLEACH Charter Fair 2018 is now only days away on Saturday, June 30 from 11am to 11pm. The children’s parade begins at 10.45 in the Market Place and moves to the KGV Playing Field where the event starts 11am. Come along and browse the stalls, ascend the climbing wall, sample the many and varied refreshments, enter the Grand Raffle, visit the Fire Brigade and the Fire Engine, watch dog agility, enter the dog show, or listen to the bands who will be playing in the Music Festival…there is plenty for everyone!
