WELL Mr Editor I have been in touch with the BBC and ITV West Country News, Countryfile [twice] and have had just one reply to my question 'Where are the 'Swifts, Swallows and House Martins'.
I have not seen one of them over Tetbury this year, have they gone!
Countryfile manager said they had a bad February and March in Spain, which held them up.
Ok but we are in the June summertime now and the skies above us are a sight to behold when they are flying. The height Swifts get to - some of the aircraft from Kemble do not get so high!
But can someone who reads you paper please tell me are they on their way or staying in the Mediterranean this year?
