POLICE in Gloucestershire have launched a poll to see how many respondents understand the penalties for texting whilst driving.
The poll was launched after the RAC published survey results which suggest that only a third of people realise that messaging whilst behind the wheel can result in penalty points as well as a hefty fine.
If caught offenders could face six points on their license, and a £200 fine.
