THE Friends of Tetbury community transport trips for June are Saturday, June 9 (9am-3pm - Bath), Saturday, June 16 (9am-4pm - Weston-Super-Mare), Saturday, June 23 (9am-4pm - Clark's village Street).

Please note the last time shown is the approximate time they expect to be back in Tetbury. To book or for more information call 0345 680 5029. As the trips have been sponsored by Tetbury Lions, South Cotswolds Rotary club, the Feoffees, Tetbury Town Council the trips are subject to voluntary donation only. Should there be less than six passengers they reserve the right to cancel in that event they will endeavour to provide 24 hours notice.

THE Winter's Tale will be preformed at the Tetbury Goods Shed Arts Tetbury on June 9. Tremendous entertainment for a summer evening from this professional all-male company, The Festival Players Theatre Company. 7.30-9.30pm. THE TETBURY Community Bike Ride is on June 10. This is a sponsored cycle ride for everyone along the quiet lanes and off-road paths round Tetbury. A Bike Week event catering for all abilities, there will be a short cycle route for families and a more challenging route for the fit including a pub stop. In aid of the Tetbury Goods Shed and the Tetbury Trail.

JAY Foreman's Disgusting Songs for Revolting Children is at the Tetbury Goods Shed Arts on Sunday, June 10. An award winning musical comedian, Jay provides a devilishly cheeky hour of songs, poems and comedy for children of all ages in this family-friendly show.

THE next police open surgery meeting drop in will be Monday, June 11 from 1-2pm at Tetbury Town Council offices, The Old Courthouse, 63 long Street, Tetbury. A chance to drop in and have an informal or formal chat with a local officer.

THE next Tetbury & District Footpath Group is on Tuesday, June 12 at 10am. Meeting at the Goods Shed cars will be needed to get to start point as this will be a walk in and around the lovely Lasborough Valley. Length: 4.50 M 7.25 KM, Level: B/C.

THERE will be a garden tour and supper at Highgrove, on June 13 from 5.30-9.30pm.There will be an early evening guided tour through the Royal Gardens at Highgrove, followed by Pimm’s on the terrace and a two-course supper served in the Orchard Restaurant, with music from a pianist. ON THURSDAY, June 14 at the Goods Shed Cinema the film Darkest Hour (Rated PG) will be shown. A thrilling and inspiring true story begins on the eve of World War II as, within days of becoming Prime Minister of Great Britain, Winston Churchill (Academy Award winner Gary Oldman) must face one of his most turbulent and defining trials: exploring a negotiated peace treaty with Nazi Germany, or standing firm to fight for the ideals, liberty and freedom of a nation.

Doors open 7pm. Performance starts at 7.30pm.Tickets £7 Adults £5 under 14 years and all tickets are on the door.

THERE will be summer open day fete at the St Mary's day centre in St Mary's Road on June 16 to raise funds for the day clubs from 10am - 2pm.

JOIN CAFOD, Christian Aid and Tetbury Area Churches Together, responding to the refugee crisis with a three-mile walk in Tetbury on Sunday, June 17 at 2pm.

This is in response to a new global campaign for the rights of people on the move launched by Pope Francis.

WELL done to the 12 teams took part in the now annual Great Tetbury Hospital Boules Tournament on May 13 at the Royal Oak in Tetbury organised by the Friends of Tetbury Hospital in conjunction with Vinotopia, The Royal Oak and Vignobles Foncalieu. They raised a fantastic £1155 for our local hospital.
