TWO Mums have launched a new business selling children’s sofas
SqwishMe ran by Helen Forbes and Vicky Campbell makes modular sofas for children which are designed not to dominate too much space but provide a comfortable, appropriate size space for multiple children to sit on.
The sofas are all hand made from a cotton linen blend upholstery fabric. Units can be bought individually but multiple units can be joined together.
The first collection features bright rainbow colours and the company are already planning a Cotswold tone and prints themed collection.
Sofas will retail between £245 and £405.
Helen explained how the idea came about: "Whilst designing a new playroom for my four small children I struggled to find appropriate seating.
"I was looking for something which, was big enough for them all to sit together, but that wouldn’t dominate the space or that they would grow out of quickly.
"I wanted it to be comfortable for me to sit on, practical in terms of cleaning and importantly looked and felt great. After a long, fruitless search I teamed up with a friend and designed my own.
"It's been really positive so far and we've had a really good response."
