THE UNKNOWN creative artist nicknamed ‘Cirencester Banksy’ has been spotted in the act.

A mystery sculptor has been creating magnificent sculptures in the town all week, and his stunning balancing stones can be seen in waterways near City Bank Road in Cirencester.

Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard:

His first striking balancing artworks were spotted earlier this week.

Cirencester residents have delighted in his breath-taking artworks, reminiscent of Adrian Gray, a Dorset artist, who is famous for creating magical installations by simply balancing stones on top of one another.

Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard:

One Cirencester resident, Sarah Orr, got in touch with the Wilts & Glos when she was lucky enough to spot Cirencester’s Banksy at work.

"I couldn't believe my luck,” Sarah said.

"I was strolling back from a friend’s house and I usually take the top path but I decided as it was such a lovely evening that I would walk through the field.

Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard:

"That's when I saw him, busy placing rocks, a young talented boy - I watched him build one, the balance is amazing!"
