THE Meningitis trust train passed through Kemble station on tomorrow (May 18).

Great Western Railway staff and Meningitis Now volunteers turned train stations between Cheltenham and London for the charity's 'May Mayhem' campaign aimed to raise awareness and funds about signs and symptoms of meningitis.

This is the second year that GWR have dedicated a whole day to the ‘May Mayhem’ campaign, and they are hoping to beat last year’s total of £2,458.77.

Harry Gardner Corporate Account Executive at Meningitis Now said: "GWR have been great supporters of Meningitis Now over the last year, and we are so grateful that GWR are once again supporting May Mayhem.

"We know that a lot of preparation goes in to co-ordinating staff to help on this day of fundraising, and we really appreciate the help of each and every person who gets involved.

"We really hope that anyone passing through stations on the Cheltenham to London Paddington line this Friday, gets involved and supports Meningitis Now by donating whatever they can.

"All funds raised will go towards helping families and individuals who have been affected by meningitis to get the support they need to rebuild their lives."
