A NEW business has given children to opportunity to interact with unicorns.

Cotswold Unicorns organises unicorn parties where children get the chance to groom, and cuddle a pony paint and play unicorn games as part of the package.

The company also offer unicorn visits for weddings, christenings and school fetes.

Owner Alison Morse came up with the idea and has already taken a number of bookings.

The unicorn, which was created from their pony called Cherry Blossom has provided Alison’s daughter with many happy memories which she wants to provide for more children.

“My daughter loves Cherry Blossom, she’s taught her everything from riding and how to look after her and I want to share that with other children because I know they’ll all love her which is why we set up the business,” said Alison.

“We’ve had the unicorn horn for a while and my daughter always rode her as a unicorn but she’s nearly seven and getting a bit older.

“I’ve already got a brownie visit booked in and I’m also taking her to a pre-school for a visit but I’d also like to take her to a hospice free of charge.”

The family have owned the pony for four years the pony has been on an emotional journey prior finding a home with Alison.

“She was rescued from Wales having been left in a field after her then owners had no more use for her. “ Alison said. “She had rain scald and overgrown hooves and was generally in a bit of a sorry state.

“The lady that found her had bought her pretty cheap, tidied her up and that’s when we bought her and we hope to keep her for the rest of her days.

“It’s a bit of a rags to riches story for her. I think she’s so happy to be loved and cherished and she loves nothing more than a fuss and a neck scratch and she’s really gentle with children.”
