PUPILS from a primary school in Cricklade have spent their Easter holidays creating their own fancy hats to welcome Spring.
In keeping with the well known tradition of Easter bonnets, Meadowpark School held a parade to display the spectacular Easter Bonnets of the 30 children who took part this year.
Each class had its own theme ranging from Spring and Easter to the Stone Age and the farm.
Pupils incorporated a variety of materials including clay, paper mache, sticks and leaves, figurines, and paint.
Teacher Bev Millin said: “The creativity of the children is just exceptional this year!”
Each year, the parent and teacher association organises the Easter Bonnet challenge for the school, and say they plan to keep the long-held tradition in place for many years to come.
