A CHARITY bingo, in aid of a different local charity each month, takes place Friday, April 20, 7.30pm for 8pm start in the village hall; 50p entry and 30p a book. Light refreshments available.

SHERSTON School raised £300 for Sports Relief.

SHERSTON Tennis Club is holding a Rusty Rackets session on Sunday, April 22 from 10am. This is open to anyone who may wish to play tennis in 2018 - ex-members, those who may have played years ago, complete beginners, newcomers to the area, etc. It will be a general mix-in session so go along and have a hit. ON TUESDAY, April 24 theatre club members head to Exbury Gardens near Beaulieu, which belongs to a branch of the Rothschild family and is famous for rhododendrons and azaleas. Then on April 26 members head to the Bristol Hippodrome to see “The Band”, Take That’s musical.

SHERSTON WI meet Thursday, April 19 at 7.30pm in the village hall for an open meeting, when Caroline Lowsley-Williams, whose family have lived at Chavenage Hall since the late 19th Century, will be giving a talk.
